Let me put this straight: this site is about making money from ebay without selling or buying anything.
No buying stuff wholesale and selling retail.
No dropshipping.
No running around fleamarkets looking for bargains to flip on ebay.
No putting up an ebay store or even just a single auction or "buy it now" item.
or "buy it now" item.
You want to be the dealmaker, not the seller, not the buyer.
That's what this is about.
You know, ebay makes money by other people buying and selling stuff - but they don't buy or sell anything themselves.
And you can do the same thing. You can money off other people buying and selling. Without being involved in the whole transaction at all.
(And lord knows, I'm not talking about opening up your own auction house - that would be a silly approach, because NOBODY is going to be able to do anything about ebays market monopoly for the next couple of decades).

But actually, before you go there, let me give you some tips on the way.
The ebay affiliate program is one of the oldest affiliate programs online, and one of the biggest affiliate programs too. It has turned many people into multi-millionaires - but more importantly, many thousands of people are "just" making a living with it online.
Depending upon how much time they invest into their "ebay affiliate project" they might make a couple of hundred or a couple of thousand dollars a month.
Of course, a big part of making money with it is also knowing how to do it.
The first step is do your research. Decide WHAT you want to promote.
You should be guided by two factors: demand and price.
Do not be afraid of competition. Competition is a good thing - it means people are making money in that area.
Digital cameras for example are one of the most highly competitive markets online. Why is that? Because it's also one of the most profitable ones. So many people spend so much money on digital cameras that it's easier to direct some of that money in your pocket than it is to go into some obscure niche that only 400 people in the world care about.
The second thing you should watch out for is price - you see, we are talking about small percentages that you get paid for each sale. So an item that sells for $5 won't make you rich, even if you sell a thousand of them.
But if just ONE person buys a $500 digital camera through you, then we are talking already some money here.
You see - the effort to create a website selling $10 usb sticks is about the same amount of effort it takes to create a website selling $500 cameras (or $5000 cars for that matter, which are being sold on ebay day in and day out). What's your time worth to you? Don't you want to get the most out of it?
Yes - it's true, you have to find that balance between price, demand and competition. But instead of becoming your own "research firm" and falling prey to "paralysis by analysis" better get started with something that sells for a high price and has a high demand, and then refine it from there. Get going, watch your results, and then refine. When you start out with a broad category, you can always "niche down" more. But if you run a website on "funny Apple MacBook laptop cases" it will be a very far stretch to turn that website into Apple accessories.
Frankly - if you get into this, you won't make money right away. You'll do things the wrong way, you'll make mistakes.
But the secret to turning failure into success is simple:
incremental improvements!
Yes. Get a little better every day, every week, every month.
In order to improve, you need to monitor your results. The good thing about the internet is that it's really easy to monitor. There is analytics software, split testing, etc.
And this is what you should do: you should integrate some tracking program (I recommend Google Analytics, which is 100% free) and look at your stats on a regular basis.
Then, when you spend one day doing forum posts, and the next day article marketing, you can look at your analytics and see which one brought in the most results. And then focus on that.
Now that you are equipped with this knowledge, check out Build a niche store.
Cheers,
Michael
